Patok nga kaya ang Wifi Vendo Machine?... marami kasi ngayon na negbebenta or nagoofer ng machine na ito at may mga pangako ng mabilis na return of investment o ROI, ngunit totoo nga kaya ito?....

Para sa ating mga Kabayan, Kapiso na nagiisip maglagay ng wifi vendo hinay hinay muna...

Magkano ba ang Machine? may mga offer ngaun na kya magconnect ng 100 users pero ang presyo Php 17,000 - 18,000 or higher pa meron din naman na mas mura pero konti lang users na pwede sabay-sabay magconect.

Advantage (PROS):
1. One time na gastos lang sa pagbili ng machine kumpara sa pagtayo ng pisonet at 'di mo kailangan mag-upgrade agad agad.
2. Maliit na space lang ang kailangan
3. Pwede mo ilagay sa mga pwesto gaya ng tindahan, terminal, palengke at mga matataong lugar basta may existing internet na.
4. Pwede sa mga comp shop
5. Matipid sa kuryente
6. Mas mura na internet connection para sa iyong phone kumpara sa Mobile Data na offered ng Globe, Smart at Sun

pero teka muna sino ba ang target mong customer dito? syempre yung mga addict sa wifi, yung mga mahilig maglaro gamit ang kanilang smart phones, kung Fb lang naman karamihan aasa lang sa Mobile Data nila.

Disadvantages (CONS)
1. Mahal ang machine
2. Marami na ngayon na free wifi na lugar
3. Pwede ka mareklamo pag nilagay mo yan malapit sa school at 'di mo block ang mga porn sites
4. Konti lang ang customer maski ilagay mo pa yan sa mataong lugar kasi nga ang gagamit lang nyan kadalasan yung mga addict sa smartphone games.
5. Tulad ng Pisonet or compshop brownout ang kalaban nyan.




Mas marami naman palang advantage kaysa sa disadvantage pero sa aking opinyon ang ROI ay hindi ganun kabilis.

In choosing Pisonet Type you may consider the following:

• Your Space or place - How many units can be accommodated with the space available?
• Safety of the units - because there are users who are careless (walang pakialam) if you go for the Arcade type Pisonet with universal coinslot chances are they use the coinslot as foot rest (ginagawang tapakan ang coinslot kaya pwede masira agad ito). 

Advantage of Arcade Type - 1. Monitor is much safer because of the glass cover. 2. Can accomodate more coins before it gets full (kasi mas malaki ang box niya compared sa table top)
Disadvantage - 1. Not easy to troubleshoot (kasi nasa ilalim ang computer unit), 2. Moving is uneasy (Kasi mabigat).

Advantage of table top - 1. Easy to manage (kasi magaan). 2. Easy to troubleshoot (kasi nasa likod lang sa loob ng box ung CPU). 3. Easy to move or movable (kasi nga magaan)
Disadvantage - 1. Mas madali manakaw (kasi nga para lang siyang maleta). 2. Mas madali mapuno ng coins. 3. Needs separate table.

1. No more Hdd on Clients
2. No need Antivirus/Deepfreeze (Sa server lang kailangan)
3. 10-20% electricity less
4. 1 patch/update system (Dahil server lang ang need to patch)
5. less maintenance
6. More control on your units through your server

Diskless Disadvantage:
1. Stop operation kung down ang server
2. Diskless Setup Cost (kasi kailangan ng high specs sa server lalo na kung marami kang unit)
3. Of course because server dependent ang unit lagi nakabukas ang server maski 1 or 2 lang ang tomers
4. Need Backup server just in case bigla mag down
5. Kailangan talaga dito parati my bantay (in case na magkaproblema ang server)

Traditional setup advantage:
1. Independent
2. No need ng high specs
3. Ideal para sa konting units
4. Ideal para sa mga pisonet na walang bantay (hehehehe)

Disadvantage
1. Need to patch each unit (at kung masyado malaki ang update syempre 'di kaagad makagamit ang tomers dahil sa patching)
2. Consume more electricity dahil sa may kanya-kanyang HDD
3. Maintenance

My Opinion is: Kung Marami ka units Diskless is much better pero kung konti lang naman Traditional na lang....

Tama ang kapiso natin na c Jarl Lon parehas  may pros and cons pero para sa kanya S type pa din....

Let me share my thoughts on this:

Advantage of Universal Coinslot:

• Accepts 1, 5, 10 (Piso, Lima, Sampu)
• Can be program to accept new coins
• My return slot or hole in case it did not recognize the coin (in short iluluwa ang coin)

Disadvantage:

• Price is high of course compared to S-type
• Can be hack (daw! need more proofs on this)
• Has time Glitch (not sure about this)

Advantage of S-Type

• Cheaper than universal coinslot
• Cannot be easily hack because of its S design 

Disadvantage

• Accepts only 1 peso and you need another slot for 5 peso
• Distorted (bengkong) coins gets stuck easily (kailangan pukpokin minsan)
• Sensor Problem (1. kailangan Glue gun para 'di magkaroon ng time pag pinukpok 2. Replace ng heavy duty sensor)
• Needs regular cleaning (Madali kasi stuck ang coins pag madumi na yung daanan)

Why Pisonet?

Yes, Why Pisonet (Bakit nga ba?) there's a lot of other business available that you can start with... but why? because we are now Netizens, we wanted to be always ONLINE.

Advantage of Pisonet:

• It is self serve, it will operate just by inserting coins
• Does not need Servers (unless you are in diskless setup)
• You can surf internet just by 1 peso for 5 minutes (that's my rate P1/5mins)
• Unlike the traditional setup before you need at least 15 or 20 pesos to surf the web
• Does not need more attention a little monitoring will do

Disadvantage of Pisonet:

• Of course if there's power interruption (Brownout ang kalaban natin hehehe)
• If there's no internet connection (Kaya ok din kung may offline games ka naka-install)

So the real question is... May Kita ba talaga sa Pisonet Business?.... meron naman po lalo na kung marami units at may printing ka pa...

Pisonet, How it works?

Like any other vending machines, of course it has a box, a coin slot or coin acceptor, and a timer. It is a computer unit that enclosed in a box wherein the computer monitor is plug in an outlet with a cutoff connection of power when the time on the timer reaches zero, so only the monitor turns off not the computer itself.

Whatever the design of your pisonet, from arcade type to table top or just a box with the coinslot and timer the concept is the same which is basically cutting off power when time is zero.

What is pisonet? is this really a good business?

Well pisonet business is not new to us, lots of information are readily available on the web. Let me just share my insights on this kind of business. For those who are new on this field or planning to establish pisonet business you may consider the following:

• Basic Computer Knowledge - First of all, you must learn at least the basic operation of a computer from simple installing of softwares to troubleshooting of hardwares, why? it is a big advantage if you know how not only it will save you money from technician it will also save time (hindi ka dapat nakadepende lang sa technician).  Sabi nga "Lamang ang may alam". 

• Budget - How much is your capital? How many units? 

1. How many units of pisonet? (i say at least 4-6 units), a second hand (slightly used) unit costs you at least Php 8,000 - 12,000 depends upon the specifications (hardware components) of the PC and the design you want, because nowadays lots of design came up from the original design arcade type, there is now a table top or the small pisonet box also table top (see pictures below).

2. You must also consider other things needed to fully operate like how much for internet installation?  while other providers offer no cash out some has, if you are also planning for more units you need a Router or Switch Hub and UTP Cables (I will write different article on that).  Likewise, you need Chairs, Table/s, Electric Fan or Aircon unit depends upon the competition on your area.

3. Include also on your budget the cost of Permits (to operate without hassle and to avoid future problems).

4. The improvement of your place will also cost you some, from electrical wirings, fan or aircon installation and other miscellaneous expenses that might come up.

• Location - You must consider a very good or ideal location in which there's a lot of target customers but first make sure that there is available internet connection on the area and make sure it is high speed (kung mabagal net mo or lag ang games sigurado matumal yan). On your chosen location consider permit to operate (ex. Barangay permit, Business permit, BIR, etc.) because every locations has different ordinances or laws (sa ibang barangay ayos lang wala permit kung wala naman reklamo). If there's a large competition on the area, your rate/hour must be the same, do not start a price war! (huwag ka magbaba ng presyo para lang makakuha ng customer, parehas mo lang, magkakatalo na lang sa services like bilis ng net at units and ambience ng pwesto, kasi sa huli parehas kayo malulugi sa pababaan ng presyo). Much better if you had your own place to start rather that renting a space.
